Is the hardest of the unmodified Nylons alhough Nylon 6 exibits greater impact resistance. Moisture absorption of both Nylon 6 and Nylon 66 can be as high as 10% at saturation and dimensional changes can occur due to moisture pick up. The low frictional characteristics of Nylon 6 and Nylon 66 result in wear parts with long life and in many instances eliminate the need for lubrication.
