Nylon 12

Nylon 12 has better chemical resistance and higher impact strength than both Nylon 6 and Nylon 66 but has lower mechanical strength, hardness and wear resistance. Nylon 12 absorbs very little water and maintains good dimensional stability. Glass filled Nylon 12 can reduce linear expansion by 20% and may also improve the heat distortion properties, compressive shear and tensile strength by up to 50%. It has a continuous working temperature of 120 c.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Applications with variable humidity and high impact even at low temperatures make it more versatile than some other Nylons.
